  • Mark Covert of California laced up his running shoes in 1968 and didn’t miss a day until 2013 when he voluntarily gave up his streak. Listen HERE

  • John and his wife, Dawn are the founders of the United States Run Streak Association - now known as the International Run Streak Association. It began in the 1980s and in 1994 the non-profit corporation wasformed. The streak list began with 54 runners and to this day, we have a
    total of nearly 4,000. Listen HERE

  • Mark Washburne, the president of Streak Runners International and United States Running Streak Association. He became president after founder of the streak association, John Strumsky stepped down in 2011. Mark also has a run streak of 31 years, running a minimum of 3 miles. Listen HERE

Season 2 - 2021

This season is all about women streak runners. I attempted to speak with several of the top woman streak runners on the list.

  • Judy Mick has been running every single consecutive day since November 1985. Join us as we discuss what a run streak means to her and how this practice of running has become a practice of daily gratitude listen HERE

  • Meet Lauren! Lauren is number 10 female on the Run Streak International's website www.runeveryday.com

  • Tiffany has been Air Force Master Sergeant for over 14 years and began her run streak while working at the Pentagon in D.C. She is able to not only get in her run every single day, but has managed to average 7 miles per day. Early on her doctor told her she wouldn't be able to run more than 3 miles. She has since done many marathons and 50k races. Currently she is training to run a sub 3 hour marathon. Listen HERE

  • Stacey, mom of two boys is coming up on her 1,000 consecutive day in a row of running here in the next few days. She started her run streak five years post baby and began running to start being more active and creating lifestyle changes. She initially lost around 50 pounds and found a way to get in at least one mile everyday to lose the weight and keep it off. The run streak has helped her understand how to feel her body and not just care about the number on the scale. Listen HERE

  • Jenna began running everyday and quickly realized she wanted to continue her daily run. She ran all through her pregnancy, hoping her run streak would continue. It’s a hard thing to predict and she did get in a run a few hours before her daughter was born, but not quite a full mile. She decided to retire her run streak and heal from pregnancy before embarking on another run streak! Listen HERE

  • Adrian is one of the few other women that I have spoken with that was also able to continue her run streak through pregnancy and delivery! She is a lactation consultant and help women return to running while breastfeeding. She will continue her run and her run streak as long as she can! Listen HERE

  • Karen is from CA and began her run streak on January 1, 1997. Her minimum is 3 miles or 45 minute, whichever comes first. She has run through a broken arm as well as breast cancer. Over the course of her running career she has completed 193 marathons. Listen HERE

  • Roxanne began running on October 1, 2014 and hasn't missed a day since. She had to run through 2 pregnancies of which she details how this was possible for her. Listen HERE

Season 3 - 2022

It’s been 20 years and I haven’t missed a single day of running, this season we focus on obstacles in a run streak as described in Patanjali Yoga Sutras 1.30 and 1.31 therein describes 9 obstacles followed by 4 mental obstacles.
